Alipay Joined Hands with 10 Banks in Efficient Payment
BEIJING, Apr 19, 2011 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Alipay.com Co., Ltd., China's leading online payment service provider, on April 18, 2011 announced the cooperation between its latest-released efficient payment service and credit cards of ten banks, such as Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Ping An Bank, Bank of Beijing, Shanghai Rural Commerical Bank, Bank of Dalian, Bank of Ningbo, and Bank of Ningxia.
The number of newly-added users of the new service has been close to 3 million.
Alipay said that a user can complete an online payment in a very simple and complete way as the user is not required to open an online bank but input the credit card number and other necessary information, and the online payment is subject to the quota of the credit card.
By December 2010, the number of registered users of Alipay has surpassed 550 million, and daily turnover has surpassed CNY 2.5 billion and 8.5 million deals. However, the problem of not good experiences via online payment has always been there. At the end of December 2010, Alipay joined banks with Bank of China, a leading commercial lender, took the lead to release credit card efficiency service.
