Eicon Technology, AT&T GIS sign OEM pact to provide wide-area connectivity for client/server enterprises.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 1995--Eicon Technology and AT&T GIS have announced an OEM agreement under which Eicon's WAN Services for Windows NT software will be bundled with all AT&T GIS server-class products for Windows NT. The agreement makes Eicon the sole provider of WAN connectivity software for AT&T GIS Windows NT servers.

The inclusion of Eicon's WAN Services for Windows NT software will enhance the strengths of AT&T GIS servers by enabling them to provide LAN-to-LAN internetworking; messaging and workgroup computing; access to information sources such as legacy host systems, on-line services and database servers; and Internet access.

The agreement also calls for AT&T to sell the EiconCard, the high-speed intelligent co-processor server card required to operate the WAN Services for Windows NT software.
