Qld: Woman rips off bank for elaborate wedding, court told

BRISBANE, Feb 7 AAP - A bank worker was under so much pressure to pay for her traditionalVietnamese wedding she resorted to stealing more than $27,000 from customer accounts,a court was told today.
Jasmine Van Thai Huynh, 28, was jailed for three months as a "deterrent" to othersafter pleading guilty to four fraud offences in Brisbane's District Court.
The court heard Huynh also took the money to pay for spiralling home building costsafter the budget for her new home blew out by $30,000.
